Joining Tinoco lab as a postdoc in January 2006, I have been working on single-molecule folding and unfolding of RNA using force-measuring optical tweezers.  RNA folding energy landscapes can be probed by mechanical force in near-physiological solutions with various ligands such as protons, salts, small molecules, nucleic acids, and proteins.
